"Isang Komedya sa Langit" is a captivating historical fiction comedy set in Spanish-occupied Philippines during the late 1800s. The story follows four priests—Fathers Garcia, Borromeo, Salas, and Pascual—caught in the turmoil of the soldiers’ Mutiny. While Father Pascual escapes arrest, the others are unjustly accused of rebellion and sentenced to death. During their execution, a solar eclipse miraculously transports the three priests to the year 2024. Mistaking modern Metro Manila for heaven, the bewildered priests soon discover that they are revered as saints in this new world. With the help of Marco, a young seminarian, and his grandmother, Naty, they navigate the unfamiliar future. Through humorous encounters, they learn about their martyrdom and its impact on the nation’s history. As they search for answers, they encounter figures from their past, and one by one , they are pulled back to the 1800s. They are soon reunited with Father Pascual, and together, they reignite their fight for justice, now armed with the wisdom of both their own time and the future. The story culminates in a whimsical yet heartfelt conclusion as the lost saints vanish from the present day, leaving behind a transformed society.
