The Cursed Land
After the death of his wife, Mit and his teenage daughter May move into a run-down house in a suburban neighborhood. While digging into the ground to build a shrine — a typical feature in most Thai houses — he unwittingly unleashes a raging Djin belonging to a slave imprisoned during the founding of Bangkok, 200 years prior. As the Djin's curse is beyond the expertise of traditional monks, they travel to Narathiwat, a province in Thailand’s deep south with heavy military presence, to seek the help of a witch doctor. Unbeknownst to them, the final exorcism will unlock many dark secrets about the land.
